Olympian Gods

Zeus

King of the gods, ruler of Mount Olympus, god of sky, thunder, law, and justice. Son of Cronus and Rhea, husband of Hera.

Hera

Queen of the gods, goddess of marriage and family. Wife and sister of Zeus, known for her jealousy.

Poseidon

God of the sea, earthquakes, and horses. Brother of Zeus, wields a trident, married to Amphitrite.

Demeter

Goddess of harvest and agriculture. Sister of Zeus, mother of Persephone by Zeus.

Athena

Goddess of wisdom and strategic warfare. Born from Zeus's head, protector of Athens.

Apollo

God of sun, music, poetry, and prophecy. Son of Zeus and Leto, twin brother of Artemis.

Artemis

Goddess of the hunt, wilderness, and childbirth. Daughter of Zeus and Leto, twin sister of Apollo.

Ares

God of war and violence. Son of Zeus and Hera, lover of Aphrodite.

Aphrodite

Goddess of love and beauty. Born from sea foam or daughter of Zeus and Dione, wife of Hephaestus.

Hephaestus

God of fire and blacksmithing. Son of Hera, husband of Aphrodite, known for his craftsmanship.

Hermes

Messenger of the gods, god of trade and thieves. Son of Zeus and Maia, guides souls to the underworld.

Dionysus

God of wine, revelry, and theater. Son of Zeus and Semele, replaced Hestia on Olympus.

Cronus

Leader of the Titans, god of time. Overthrew Uranus, father of Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades.

Rhea

Titaness of fertility and motherhood. Wife of Cronus, mother of the first Olympians.

Oceanus

Titan of the ocean that encircled the world. Husband of Tethys, father of river gods.

Tethys

Titaness of fresh water and nursing. Wife of Oceanus, mother of river nymphs.

Hyperion

Titan of light. Father of Helios (Sun), Selene (Moon), and Eos (Dawn).

Theia

Titaness of sight and shining light. Wife of Hyperion, mother of Helios, Selene, and Eos.

Coeus

Titan of intellect and the axis of heaven. Father of Leto and Asteria.

Phoebe

Titaness of prophecy and intellect. Wife of Coeus, grandmother of Apollo and Artemis.

Iapetus

Titan of mortality. Father of Atlas, Prometheus, and Epimetheus.

Themis

Titaness of divine law and order. Second wife of Zeus, mother of the Fates and Hours.

Mnemosyne

Titaness of memory. Mother of the Muses by Zeus.

Crius

Titan of constellations. Father of Astraeus, Pallas, and Perses.

Chaos

The void from which all things emerged. First primordial deity.

Gaia

Personification of Earth. Mother of the Titans, wife of Uranus.

Uranus

Personification of the sky. Husband of Gaia, father of the Titans.

Tartarus

Personification of the deep abyss, a prison for the Titans.

Eros

Triton

Messenger of the sea. Son of Poseidon and Amphitrite, blows a conch shell.

Oceanids

Nymphs of the ocean. Daughters of Oceanus and Tethys, numbering 3,000.

Underworld Gods

Hades

God of the underworld and the dead. Brother of Zeus, husband of Persephone.

Persephone

Thanatos

Charon

Ferryman of the dead. Transports souls across the river Styx for a fee.

Minor Gods

Eos
